DROMORE; WEDNESDAY – Information was this morning conveyed to the constabulary at Dromore of an outrage said to have been committed on the property of local landlady, Mrs. Sproule, of Daisyhill, a few miles from Dromore. The house of a farmer named Fleming, residing in the same locality, it is stated, was also attacked, and injury of a similar character done. The constabulary are at present engaged inquiring into the affair. There was a rumour that shots were fired, but at the time of writing it remains unconfirmed – Freeman [Freeman’s Journal]
