- Bill's first wife, Mary Golden, was born on 6 March, 1907. Bill and
Mary lost 5 babies and had no surviving children. Mary refused to adopt
any children. In July, 1962, Bill and Mary took a trip to Ireland to
visit Bill's ancestral home. Mary died on 4 March, 1971. Bill took a
second trip to Ireland after Mary died in early October, 1972, with a
tour group.
After Mary's death, Bill married Mary McGuane. This Mary was born 5
May, 1907, and died many years after Bill, in August, 1987. Bill was a
member of the Knights of Columbus and Knights of Equity (some sort of
Irish group). Mary McGuane's niece, Alicia Imperi, lives in Tonawanda,
NY.
