- Francis worked for Ford Motor Company, first as a guard (while attending
college and during early marriage), and later in the personnel
department for the Safety Union. For a time, he worked in Detroit and
then transferred back to Buffalo. He and his wife are enjoying his
retirement, since 1990, taking three to four vacations a year. Francis
and Carol's two children were adopted.
