March 7 1837 In last week’s paper, we announced the death of Mr. James Porter, which occurred rather suddenly at Guystown, near Ballindreat. We have now to state, that, in consequence of some suspicions having arisen as to his death being caused by unfair means, the body was disinterred on Sunday morning last, and after a most minute post mortem examination, which was attended by William Stewart, Esq. M.D., A. Leney, Esq. M.D. and Surgeon McClintock, the medical gentlemen were unanimous in their opinion, that his death was a natural one, and that there does not exist the slightest foundation for the surmises that had been formed.
