Sep 28 1855 [Died] On Thursday last, the body of Mr. Patrick Kelly, of Slaughmanus, Claudy, was found lying on the road near his home. He was at Derry market, on Wednesday, and it is believed that his cart overturned killing him. An inquest is to be held today

Jul 17 1857 [Died] On Thursday last, about seven p.m., at Ballyhargan, on the county road leading from Derry and Claudy to Garvagh and Newtownlimavady. James Kelly, of Killyblught, a respectable farmer, had been in Derry. When returning with his cart , loaded, at one of the great hills at Altmover Glen, his horse became restive while descending on the Ballyhargan side, and not withstanding every effort from the unfortunate owner, he dashed the cart over the precipice, and so injured Mr. Kelly that he only survived a few hours in great agony. An inquest held subsequently, by Dr. Lane, coroner, returned a verdict of accidental death
