Haslett, and others, Defendants PURSUANT to a Decree, bearing date the 8th day of July, 1820, and Subsequent Orders, made in this cause, I will on Monday the 20th day of May next, at the hour of one o’Clock in the afternoon: Set up and sell, at my Chambers on the Inns Quay, in the City of Dublin, to the highest and fairest bidder, the lands of Kildrum, in the County of Donegal, containing 189 Acres, 3 Roods, and 14 Perches, or thereabouts, in the pleadings in this cause mentioned, for the purposes of said Decree. - Dated the 28th of February, 1822 (Strabane Morning Post) |

ACCIDENTAL DEATH. On Wednesday, the 22d ult. an accident, which cost an estimable young gentleman his life, occurred in the immediate neighbourhood of Ramelton. Mr. Charles Haslett, a native of Meadville, in the United States of America, had come to this country, a few months previously, on a visit to his relations, and, in company with another young gentleman, was out shooting. He was in the act of climbing a fence, when the gun, which it is conjectured was at full cock, exploded, and melancholy to relate, the entire contents lodged in his head, and caused instant death. The deceased was a young gentleman of great promise, and his melancholy fate is sincerely deplored (Strabane Morning Post) |
