A Coroner’s Inquest was held on Saturday the 30th August at Baltony, in the Barony of Kilmacrenan, and County of Donegal, before John Hunter, Esq. one of the Coroners, on view of the body of NealGallagher. It appeared on the evidence of Daniel O’Donnell, that deceased had fallen off a ladder into a shaft in the Lead Mines, at Kildrum, a depth of 17 fathoms, which occasioned his death ~~ Verdict, accidental death (Strabane Morning Post)

On Tuesday evening last, a young man named Thomas Gallagher of Cloghfin, on his return from the market here, and the night being dark and stormy, he fell off the new built arch at Claudy bridge and was drowned. His body was found next day a short distance from the bridge. An inquest was held on the body, and a verdict returned of “accidental death.” (Strabane Morning Post)
