1. This is a WEEKLY MARKET. It is held every WEDNESDAY.

2. The market begins at nine o’clock in summer, and ten in winter.

3. The Market is held in an inclosed Linen Hall in Rosemary-lane, near the centre of the city, and was built by a family of the name of Hamilton, who receives two pence per Web, for every Web sold therein, although they keep it in bad repair, and will not be accountable for any Linen left in it.

4. The Linens sold in this Market are three quarter and seven eighth wides.

The three quarter wide Web is from fifty to one hundred yards long, of a strong coarse quality.

The seven eighth wide Web from forty-eight to fifty yards long, strong good Linen.

5. The average price of the three-quarter wide Linen is about 7d. per yard.

That of the seven-eighth wide about 18 ½d.

6. All Linens come to this Market in a brown state: the Yarn of the best quality, having got about two boils before it is woven.

7. The three-quarter-wide Linens are mostly all exported to England in a brown state, and consumed there in shirts, smock-frocks, light tents, &c.

The seven-eight wide Linens are bleached at home, they are made principally made into shirts, &c. and are consumed in England and its Colonies.

8. The three-quarter wides commence selling at nine o’clock in summer, and ten in winter

The seven-eighth wides commence selling at ten in summer, and eleven in winter.

9. The average number of Webs sold every week in this Market may be taken at 200 three-quarter wides, and 200 seven-eighth wides; the value of both about £1,130.

10. One third of the Weavers who bring Cloth into this Market resides in this county, one third comes from Donegal, and one third from the County of Tyrone.

11. About three hundred and fifty weavers, upon an average, attend each weekly Market.

12. About seventy Buyers, upon an average, attend each Weekly Market.

13. Of the Buyers who attend this Market, about thirty are Principals and forty Commissioners.
