THE REPRESENTATION OF TYRONE

Meeting of Colonel Knox’s Supporters at Donemana

STRABANE, TUESDAY NIGHT – Protestant Donemana, a pretty village some seven miles distant from Strabane, was all astir this afternoon to receive Colonel Knox, the Conservative candidate for the representation of Tyrone. The neighbourhood is amongst the most fertile in the country, and in the drive to and from one of the best corn growing districts probably in Ireland is traversed. The day was beautifully fine and, though highly favourable for harvesting purposes, the sturdy farmers turned out in large numbers to receive the popular candidate. Colonel Knox was accompanied by Mr. A.C. Buchanan, J.P., and Mr. W.E. McCartney. A platform was erected on the open street or village, and around it were Messrs:
