| April 21 1832 | STARRETT & MONTGOMERY. On Tuesday, the 10th inst., Mr Joseph Starrett, of Roughan, to Mrs Martha Montgomery, of Clooney. The happy bridegroom had seen the snows of nearly ninety winters, the fair and blushing bride of seventy, yet these could not chill their connubial prosperities. The ceremony performed, they were escorted home by hundreds of the youth of Ramelton, and by an amateur band, who performed a variety of lively tunes. It is anticipated that this example will not be lost on the bachelors of that neighbourhood, but will shame them out of their single misery – misery it is, aye is it (Londonderry Sentinel) |
