Long before the hour appointed for the commencement of the ceremony the church was thronged in all parts, the ladies largely predominating, and outside it was well nigh impossible to obtain carriage room, so great was the crowd. Shortly after eleven o’clock the bride entered the church, leaning on the arm of her brother, Captain W. KNOX, and accompanied by eight bridesmaids……….the marriage service was read by the Very Rev. the Dean of Clonfert, assisted by the Rev. JOHN S. McCLINTOCK, rector of the parish, uncle of the bridegroom. The bride was given away by her brother Captain KNOX………The wedding breakfast was laid at Clonleigh House. The bridesmaids were Miss L. BYRNE, Miss F. BYRNE, Miss R. BYRNE, Miss K. KNOX, Miss L. KNOX, Miss A. HUMFREY, Miss M. HUMFREY and Miss GOUGH. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. HENRY HUMFREY, Queen’s cadet, R. M. MARRIAGE OF MR. J. BAILLIE AND MISS HUMFREY The marriage of Miss MOLLY HUMFREY, only daughter of the late Surgeon-Major ALEXANDER HUMFREY, 98th Regiment, and Mr. JOHN R. BAILLIE of Strabane, eldest son of the Rev. Canon BAILLIE, rector of Conwall, was solemnised on Wednesday, 9th July, in the Parish Church, Lifford. The church was beautifully decorated with white flowers, through the kindnesses of Mrs COCHRANE, Mrs. S. GILLESPIE, Miss B. CLARKE, Miss HIFFERNAN, Miss BRENAN &c. The officiating clergy were the Rev. Canon BAILLIE (brother) and the Rev. EDWARD O’BRIEN, curate of the parish of Clonleigh. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr. BRABASON A.
