Thomas Averell Taylor was born 22 Feb 1888 to William & Jane Taylor in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. Thomas emigrated to Canada sometime after the 1911 Census of Ireland. He enlisted in the Canadian OverSeas Expeditionary Force 24 Oct 1914 at Regina, Saskatchewan. He married Annie Halliday from Warrenpoint, Co. Down in Toronto 22 May 1920.
