Comments: This website is a great resource! I have been able to trace several of my ancestors back to Co. Tyrone. My evidence based records of those that emigrated to Victoria, Australia are from their adopted homeland and not Tyrone. If anyone has come across or has any information which can confirm these Australian records it would be greatly appreciated:

Sarah BEATTY (Willmount, Longfield West) b. ~1838 emigrated with her Father 1856 aboard the Almora. Father Charles Beatty. Married Robert Alexander in Victoria 1857.
Alexander YOUNG (Edenafogry or Edenafogery, Donacavey) b. ~1834 Cannot find his emigration records however was married in Victoria in 1861. Parents: John YOUNG and Isabella (OSBORNE)

Comments: My great great grandparents were John White born about 1824 (father Richard White) and Mary Hutchinson born about 1826 (father Robert Hutchinson) who were married in the 1st Newtownstewart Presbyterian Church, Ardstraw Parish on 24 April 1846. I am trying to find the birth records for their children George Hutchinson White born about 1854, John White no date of birth, Martha May White, Joseph White, Eliza Margaret White, Catherine Annie White and one other child. John White died at Newtownstewart in 1870 and Mary came to NZ with John, Joseph and Martha in 1879. George, Eliza and Catherine had already left Ireland for NZ during the 1870s. They settled in Christchurch and Catherine married and left NZ for Australia where she died.

Comments: My mother-in-law a Mc Dermott was born in Co. Tyrone. She married a Walsh from Cork as she settled in NYC. Not knowing any relatives, because his parents lost touch after years living in American, we have found a 2nd cousin that introduced us to his mother's family in Greencastle. She was looking for her father's side. Believe it or not, my husband has gotten to sleep in the room where his mother was born and we stay in her old family house on the farm. How special and connected his family has made us since visiting them. It is like he knew them all his life. As luck has it I am a Mc Dermott on my father's side. He was born in NYC like his father.
