C2.13 MACKAY / SCOTT
Large grey sandstone obelisk on double plinth. Four white polished marble insets
in base for inscriptions. Obelisk has fallen to ground on south and has broken in
four pieces. Affected by lichen and ivy. Ivy leaf decoration in relief on four
pillars surrounding insets and on pediment above; wreath with ribbons in relief
near top of obelisk on all four sides. Lettering incised, good condition.
Inscriptions on three sides of base: east, north and south.
