GORTIN DISPENSARY

At a meeting of the Subscribers to the Gortin Dispensary, held at Surgeon Laughlin’s, on the 10th Feb. 1824, pursuant to public notice, the following Resolutions were adopted: Resolved unanimously, That Surgeon Laughlin, R.N. be the Surgeon to our Dispensary. Resolved - That John McFarland, of Straree, Esq., be Treasurer to the Dispensary. Resolved - That the Rev. Charles Hemphill, of Lannimore, be Secretary to the Dispensary. Resolved - That the following persons do constitute the Committee:

Resolved - That the Committee do severally collect the subscriptions for the Treasurer, and that three in the absence of the others do form a Committee. Resolved - That the days of attendance at the Dispensary be Tuesdays and Fridays, and that the Surgeon on the other days, do attend to any occasional recommendations, and when his continued visits are necessary. Resolved - That the Surgeon do keep a regular account of the Cases, and also the disbursements of the Medicines. Resolved - That the Committee do meet four times in the year, to inspect the Surgeon’s books, and to audit the Accounts of the Institution. Resolved - That these Resolutions be twice inserted in the Strabane Newspaper.
