The village of Dunnamanagh [Donemana] was founded by Sir John Drummond in 1619. On the site of the bawn built by Sir John is a building which, from that circumstance, is called the Castle.
On June 1st, 1622, he let his lands to the following tenants, most of whom were “neer Irish”:
