Date Death Aug 3 1824 PRINGLE. On Wednesday last, in North Great George’s Street, Dublin, aged 70 years, John Pringle, Esq. of Caledon, a Magistrate of the counties of Tyrone and Armagh, and formerly of the 51st Regiment, in which he served for many years, with great credit to himself and advantage to his country as an Officer and Engineer (Strabane Morning Post) May 1 1830 HADDOCK. On Sunday last, near Caledon, in the 95th year of her age, Mrs. Haddock, relict of the late James Haddock, Esq., of Corlaght, county Tyrone, and mother of Major Haddock of the 97th Foot, who was killed by an elephant in the Island of Ceylon in June, 1828 (Londonderry Sentinel) Aug 14 1832 STRINGER. Coroner’s Inquest: On Monday, the 30th ult. an inquest was held by Stewart Mulligan, Esq., Coroner on the body of George Stringer of Caledon, who came by his death on the road between Killilea and Caledon. From the witnesses examined, it appeared that the deceased was thrown down by Mr. Mossman’s horse, which had ran off with him, and which he (Mossman) was not able to hold in, Drs. Cole and Simons, (the former of whom had examined the body,) were convinced that Stringer’s death was occasioned by the bursting of a blood vessel – Verdict: Accidental death (Londonderry Sentinel) Apr 5 1834 TAYLOR. On Sunday, the 23rd ult., in Caledon, Mr. William Roland Taylor, eldest son of Mr. E. Taylor, of that Town (Londonderry Sentinel) Jun 7 1834 ALEXANDER. On May 10, at Clifton [Bristol], Isabella, the wife of William John Alexander, Esq., of Caledon, county Tyrone (Londonderry Sentinel) Aug 30 1834 STRICKLAND. In Warrenpoint [Co. Down], on Monday last, of cholera, William Strickland, Esq., of Caledon (Londonderry Sentinel) Jan 2 1836 MCMILLAN. On the 17th ult., Mr. John McMillan, of Carricklongfield, county Tyrone, aged 72 years. In Caledon, on Tuesday, the 20th ult., Mary, relict of Alexander Allen, Esq., M.D., late of the Royal Navy (Londonderry Sentinel) Aug 14 1841 WILKIN. On the evening of Monday, the 2nd inst., after a lingering illness, Mr. William Wilkin, of Ramakit, near Caledon, aged 54 years (Londonderry Sentinel) Nov 6 1841 WILKIN. On the 28th ult., at his residence, Ramikit, near Caledon, Mr. David Wilkin, in the 85th year of his age. He was for many years an Elder in the Presbyterian Congregation of Minterburn, in connection with the late General Synod of Ulster (Londonderry Sentinel) Nov 27 1841 KEENAN. On Tuesday, the 23rd inst., after a short illness, Eliza, third daughter of Mr. J.B. Keenan, Caledon, aged 9 years (Londonderry Sentinel) Mar 16 1844 ALLEN. On Sunday the 25th ult., at Caledon, James R. Allen, Esq., Surgeon (Londonderry Sentinel) Aug 17 1844 MORTON.
