Stevenson of Drimmeny House, Donegal, Ireland and niece of Mr John and Miss Stevenson of Canonbury Grove, Dulwich Hill, to Mr Alexander MacKillop, second son of the late Mr. D. MacKillop and Mrs MacKillop of Bernera Harris, Scotland, was celebrated at St. George’s Presbyterian Church, Castlereagh Street [Sydney], on September 15. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. MacDonald, assisted by the Rev. J. Sinclair of Victoria. The bride, who was given away by her uncle Mr Stevenson, wore a frock of ivory crepe satin clasped at the side with a silver buckle, and the tulle veil was held in place with a spray of orange blossom. Her shower bouquet was of sweet pea, carnations and hyacinths. Miss J Stevenson sister of the bride acted as bridesmaid. She wore a frock of powder blue georgette appliquéd with pink and gold medallions with a hat to tone and carried a posy of pink roses and sweet peas. Mr. W. McKastral was best man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Miss Stevenson, the bride s aunt, at Sargent’s, Market Street [Sydney] (Sydney Morning Herald)
