Captain Frederick William Wilson, R.N., on the retired (T) list died suddenly at Ghent, on the 4th instant, in his 51st year. He entered the navy in 1844, and served as mate in the Calypso, 18, on the North America and West Indies station from July 31, 1851, until promotoed to Lieutenant May 3, 1858, in the same ship. On October 6th, 1853, he was appointed to the Agamemnon, 91, flagship of Admiral Sir E. Lyons, Bart., in the Mediterranean and remained until the close of the Russian war. From October 1st, 1856, until the close of 1859, served in the Devastation, 6, on the North America and West Indies station; from Feb. 9th, 1860, to January 21st, 1861, in the Royal Albert, 121, flagship with the Channel Squadron of Vice Admiral Sir C. H. Fremantle, and after next serviing for a short time in the Princess Royal, 91, also with the Channel Squadron was transferred in April to the marlborough, 131, flagship in the Mediterranean of Vice-Admiral Sir W. Fanshawe Martin, K C. B., and was promoted to be commander April 16th, 1862. He was second Capt. of the Orlando, 46, in the Mediterranean from May 28th, 1862 until paid off January 2, 1866; of the Hector, 20, armour-plated ship, also in the Mediterranean, from January 5th, until July 24th, 1866, and commanded the Ganges, 20, training ship for boys at Falmouth, from July 24th 1866, until promoted to be Captain, April 15th, 1867. He afterwards commanded the Bristol, 31, screw frigate on particular service from February 17th, 1868, until January 28, 1871. Death in London of Jane Carolan, daughter of James Wilson, Gortmore, Omagh

On the 27th ult., at her residence, Union Road, Clapham, London, Jane, widow of the late J. W. Carolan, and daughter of the late James Wilson, of Gortmore, Omagh, formerly Clerk of the Crown for the county of Tyrone. [Last week the foregoing announcement was inserted as taking place on the 27th May at his residence, &c., instead the date now stated.]
